The poem in question is contained in the book written by Yomota Inuhiko, "The Heart Is Like A Rolling Stone" and even before that included by Saizo Yaso in his 27th collection of poems in 1919. Before the infamous "sonnet" there is a warning, which reads: "If you read this poem aloud, tragic things will happen." And of course I did. Legend has it that a disabled girl lived in Japan in the late 1800s, Tomino was her name, who after writing this horrifying poem was punished by her parents and locked in the cellar, refusing to feed her. So her spirit remained imprinted in the words of her poem, which if read aloud evoke her curse. In Japan in the 80s the trend of filming yourself or your friends reading the poem aloud arose and it must be said that many times there were no consequences, so it seems that the curse strikes randomly (maybe it's just autosuggestion?) or with a pattern not yet understood.
