The most difficult access to Collado Jermoso is the route that starts from Cordiñanes de Valdeón and crosses the Vega de Asotín and then climbs up the Congosto canal (PR.PNPE-16). This extreme route, only 4.1 km long, has a positive gradient of more than 1,200 m, entering the Central Massif along paths exposed to the void and through very difficult, rugged terrain.
