After five years of traveling the world, we are now exploring Europe on bicycles. And we are starting this new phase of our lives with a bikepacking trip through our homeland. Through a Germany in an identity crisis. Through a country that is united in fear for its future - but divided in the search for answers. Almost 34 years after reunification, one of the dividing lines still seems to be between East and West. So we set off from Berlin towards the Baltic Sea, to an area that is economically disadvantaged and underrepresented in all areas of public space. Like no other in the Federal Republic, it is branded with negative identity attributions - as left behind, frustrated and right-wing. We wanted to form our own opinion, to talk to the people who live here about their view of our country and their view of their homeland. We wanted to exchange dreams and fears. We wanted to do what we love about traveling: learn and listen, instead of lecturing and judging. The result is a multi-part documentary about a bicycle trip that has shown us time and again how important it is to talk to one another. What can you expect? Authentic impressions and personal insights. Thank you for stopping by!
