Discover the Charming City of Ouri! Located in the Galicia region, in the northwest of Spain, Ourense is a true hidden treasure. Known for its hot springs and rich history, Ourense offers the perfect combination of relaxation and cultural exploration. Our adventure began in the famous spas of Ourense. We had the opportunity to relax in several hot springs, such as Termas de Outariz, a complex of outdoor thermal pools with hot, medicinal waters that provide real relief for the body and mind. Another mandatory stop was the hot springs, where pools surrounded by beautiful gardens offer a peaceful and revitalizing environment. In addition to the hot springs, we explored several hot springs spread across the city, such as the iconic Fonte das Burgas. With waters reaching 67ºC, this historic spring has been famous since Roman times for its healing properties. It was fascinating to see how the city keeps this thermal tradition alive. Walking through the old center of Ourense is like traveling back in time. Its narrow cobblestone streets led us to Praza Maior, the city's main square, surrounded by impressive historic buildings. The square is the perfect place to observe local life and enjoy a coffee in the surrounding bars. The architecture of Ourense is simply incredible. We visited the Cathedral of Ourense, also known as Catedral de San Martiño, a magnificent building that dates back to the 12th century. Its Gothic facade and interior details are breathtaking. We also explored the Church of Santa Eufemia, a beautiful baroque church situated in the heart of the historic center. Among the many impressive buildings in Ouri, the Roman Bridge is a highlight in itself. This bridge crosses the River Minho and offers spectacular views, especially at sunset. Walking over the Roman Bridge was like feeling history alive beneath our feet. Our visit to Ourense was an unforgettable experience, from relaxing in the thermal waters to exploring the old center full of history.
