Dipper - Wildlife video/photography In this video I take you to meet the dipper, a magnificent little bird that lives near waterways. (My sources for my videos) More information: https://www.vogelwarte.ch/fr/oiseaux/... dipper was designated by BirdLife Switzerland "bird of the year 2017". The one that is also sometimes nicknamed "water thrush" has astonishing particularities: it is in fact the only passerine that can dive and walk on the bottom of rivers! The dipper is perfectly adapted to fast-moving and oxygen-rich waterways. It can breed on river banks even in built-up areas as long as it can find sufficiently clean water and nesting areas that are not too disturbed. It is therefore a good ambassador for the BirdLife campaign "biodiversity in built-up areas" focused this year on aquatic habitats in urban areas. Good video!
