Hello This video shows unscrewing and removing the front wiper mechanism from an Opel Astra J The first part will soon appear on the channel, where I dismantle the wiper arms and windscreen, i.e. all the plastics that need to be removed if we want to get to the wiper motor. It will show what catches/latches you need to pay attention to when pulling them out. Dismantling - shown in another video (windscreen, wiper arms) - plastic separating the engine from the mechanism recess - 3 M6 screws from the engine plus a plug Installation - plug - the plate on the engine must hit the locating rubber vibration isolator in the recess under the windscreen - catch and then tighten the 3 M6 engine screws - put on the plastics Tools Small bearing puller or a special one for wipers Notes We tighten the wiper mechanism to 8 Nm, and the wipers to 16 Nm (before dismantling, it is worth marking their position on the windscreen with masking tape). Do everything carefully and carefully, adhering to health and safety regulations. Good luck!
