In France, according to the latest annual report of the Defender of Rights of the Republic, it appears that #disability is the primary criterion for #discrimination. There are many indicators of exclusion for these people. However, living with a #disability mobilizes valuable skills that are little known and too little used and valued. Marie-Françoise PIERRE, a sustainable development consultant and trainer in inclusive practices, demonstrates this effectively. Visually impaired, she proudly embodies the surprising #power of #circumventionStrategies and offers us all the keys to building a more inclusive society. A major challenge, because on average, each of us will live 8 years of our lives with a disability! Marie-Françoise PIERRE is a woman, a mother, a professional with an "ordinary" career despite a severe visual impairment acquired in adolescence. She has always wondered about the factors that have favored her full autonomy, but has also, all too often, been outraged by the exclusion and discrimination suffered by people with #disabilities. An engineer in environmental sciences and committed to sustainable development, she puts her energy into reminding people that it must be based on an inclusive society that will be enriched by diversity.
