The SN84s are still running for SKPL and PKP Intercity between Jelenia Góra and Kraków and Hirschberg and Kraków. Shortly before the end of the service, I drove the entire route there and back again in a 614. Over 7 hours each way in a 614 with roaring Cummins engines through Silesia, over fast main lines and slow branch lines with rail joints and telegraph poles, a very varied and impressive journey! Almost 16 years after the last trip around Nuremberg with a 614 with a Cummins engine, this was another opportunity to enjoy the familiar and well-known soundscape above the engine. The result is a nearly 30-minute compilation of the journey, mainly the first part. Later, the railcar filled up more and more and sound recordings without annoying background noises eventually became impossible. Have fun watching and especially listening to the engine still jerking and stuttering when stationary and the engine roaring loudly under load.
