The life of DIMOS PAVLAKIS, the only Greek survivor of Dachau hell. THE MUNICIPALITY OF PAVLAKIS tells the story of his arrest by Italian soldiers on the Albanian Front. He describes in every detail his days of captivity in the Italian camps. At the same time, the course of Nazism in EUROPE, the prevalence of the GERMANS and the period of the Occupation in GREECE are shown. The real nightmare begins for DIMO PAVLAKI when he is transferred by the Germans to DACHAU, having the Number 52000. He describes the meeting with the Secretary of the Central Committee of the KKE NIKO ZACHARIADIS and his strong presence in the camp. PAVLAKI MUNICIPALITY's descriptions of the miserable living conditions in Dachau reveal the horrors of war and the cruelty of Nazism. But the "tale" of his life does not end there. He is transported to CZECHOSLOVAKIA and works, as a panda prisoner, in a huge tunnel. He was the only one who managed to survive in those inhuman conditions. He cries when he recounts the moment of his liberation, after the fall of Nazism. He speaks with immense gratitude about the Russian soldier who took him to the hospital. After four years he returns from hell to his home, in CRETE. THE MUNICIPALITY OF PAVLAKIS keeps its memories from DACHAU indelible and the number 52000 follows it throughout its life. He escaped the SS crematorium three times. He was crucified in the hell of Dachau and yet he endured. At the age of 97, Dimokritos Pavlakis, filled with the experiences of Nazi atrocities, closed his eyes forever on Monday, May 14, 2012. Copyright belongs to Hellenic Radio Television.
