You can now experience the city museum's special exhibition, "On the assembly line - 100 years of Rasselstein in Andernach", digitally! Mayor Achim Hütten, Mayor Claus Peitz and Dr. Peter Biele, CEO of thyssenkrupp Rasselstein, warmly welcome you to this digital tour of the exhibition. Museum director Kai Seebert will lead the way through the special exhibition. The project of the Andernach City Museum was implemented with the support of thyssenkrupp Rasselstein and the Open Channel Andernach, Mr. Otto Kaiser. For which we express our heartfelt thanks. Over 2,400 employees are now employed at thyssenkrupp Rasselstein GmbH, the world's largest producer of packaging steel, in Andernach. When the first sheets of metal were processed on decommissioned machines in the Remy, van der Zypen & Co. strip steelworks, which was then located far outside the city, in the autumn of 1921, no one could have guessed that a world-class industrial company would develop in Andernach in a short time. The company’s anniversary serves as an opportunity to use the special exhibition “On the Running Band” to shed light on exciting aspects surrounding one hundred eventful years of innovation and change.
