Hello everyone! In this video we talk about the Italian digital nomad visa program, the official decree on which was issued in April 2024. According to the first data, Italy will first issue a type D visa, and then within 8 working days after arriving in Italy, the nomad will need to apply for a residence permit, which they issue for a year, with the right to extend. To qualify for this program, you must have: ✅ A remote work contract ✅ An income of 25,000 or 28,000 euros per year (~2,350 euros per month per applicant) ✅ An income of 8,400 euros per year (700 euros per month) for each additional family member - they can also get a visa and then a residence permit together with you ✅ At least 6 months of work experience in your field ✅ You must be officially employed (you can be either hired or self-employed, an individual entrepreneur, or work under a service contract / civil law contract) ✅ Italian health insurance (tourist insurance will not work) ✅ You must not have a criminal record in your country of residence / citizenship for the last 5 years The full and exact list of required documents is not yet known, as soon as there is new data, we will definitely try to make a new video, subscribe to our channel so you don't miss it. What are the important conditions for the Italian digital nomad visa? - You can only apply from the Italian consulate in your country of citizenship/residence - The residence permit will be issued for a year, with the right to extend - The period of life under this residence permit will count towards the length of permanent residence and citizenship - This residence permit CANNOT be changed to a residence permit on another basis in the future (for example, later changed to a study or startup) - The decree explicitly states that the tax service will check whether you pay taxes, and the validity of the permanent residence permit will depend on this. - There is no exact data yet, but most likely, the social security contributions paid by the employer will be counted for hired workers if the employer's country has an agreement on the exchange of social security data with Italy. – And there are no cases of Italian nomads paying taxes yet, but according to our rough calculations, you can expect a level of taxes + social security contributions at about 30%, both for hired workers (higher taxes) and for individual entrepreneurs (there are tax breaks, but you need to pay social security). – At the time of registration, the Italian consulates in most countries have not yet received information about the exact requirements and procedure for considering applications, but most likely, such information will already appear in early May 2024, we will try to keep you informed! If you are not sure that you want to move to Italy, we also recommend considering the Spanish digital nomad residence permit. It is issued immediately for 3 years, you can apply from within the country, the review takes only 20 working days. 🇪🇸 Write to us on Telegram regarding obtaining a Digital Nomad and Startup residence permit in Spain: https://t.me/relohub_spain 🇪🇸 Also subscribe to our Telegram channel about Spain and obtaining a residence permit: https://t.me/relohub_dn You can download the checklist of requirements for the Digital Nomad and Startup residence permit in Spain for free on our website: https://relohub.ru Time codes: 00:00-04:30 – Requirements for the applicant 04:31-06:10 – Can I bring my family members with me 06:11-06:49 – What’s good about this program 06:50-08:39 – About taxes 08:40-10:39 – Our impressions of Italy 10:40-13:37 – Who is the Italian digital nomad visa suitable for Nikita’s Instagram: / nik_toss Emma's Instagram: / emma.finance
