Die Ärzte - the self-proclaimed best band in the world - have released a new song called "NOISE". The video is a little pop culture scavenger hunt! Die Ärzte - German pop-punk cultural asset In Germany, it feels like you couldn't be young for the last hundred years without dancing to a song by Die Ärzte in the student bar, in the youth center or at Rock am Ring. Finally "NOISE" by Die Ärzte again "NOISE", the first single from the new Ärzte album "Dunkel", is a rock-solid Ärzte song that doesn't overwhelm hardcore Ärzte ultras with modern frills and still doesn't sound old. The song entered the German single charts at number 4 and landed straight in the trends on YouTube. But what's particularly exciting is the video by Ärzte's in-house director Norbert Heitker. You can find it in it: Bjarne Mädel, Vom Ritchie (drummer of Die Toten Hosen), references to The Walking Dead, the corona pandemic, a St. Pauli doormat and a dachshund mug. That's why there's so much in “NOISE” At first glance, the chorus of “NOISE” seems a bit meaningless: “It's time for something new” can mean anything. Because the song, which Bela and Farin from Die Ärzte wrote together, came out so shortly before the federal election, the hook could also have a very specific meaning. “Time for something new” could also mean: time for a new government.
