After a basic inspection of the engine components, the next step is to check the tightness of the diaphragm carburetor. You can mostly fix the error by replacing the membranes or installing a complete sealing or repair set. Step 1: Perform a carburetor leak test. Step 2: Check the wear of the control and pumping diaphragms, e.g. clogging and porosity. Tip: Pay attention to the sequence when disassembling the components. Step 3: Check and align the fuel control lever with a suitable feeler gauge. If necessary, remove dirt from the fuel strainer. Step 4: Before reinstalling, carefully clean the sealing surfaces, lubricate the seals with fuel and reassemble in reverse order. Step 5: Recheck for tightness.
