Happiness School https://hihappyschool.com/ Jungto Buddhist University https://www.jungto.org/edu/junior/ Jungto Society http://www.jungto.org #ChristianBuddhist #MarriageAndEnlightenment #MarriageAndReligion What I'm curious about is that I was very interested in the part where the monk presents solutions through Q&A. For example, when King Solomon told him to split the child in half, he thought, "What nonsense is that?" but when he found out, it turned out to be a clear answer. I felt some depth in the monk's words, so I'm listening to the commentary on the Diamond Sutra and the Heart Sutra right now. I have many questions, but since there are others, the question I want to ask today is why didn't the monk get married? If I may elaborate and ask a little more, I understand that in order to achieve enlightenment, to use worldly expressions, the Buddha abandoned his wife and children and embarked on a path of training to achieve enlightenment. And I also know that most monks don't get married. So does that mean that if you get married, you can't achieve enlightenment? I want to attain enlightenment and I love my current wife so much that I can't abandon her. So, I'm wondering whether I should not get married to attain enlightenment or whether I can attain enlightenment even after getting married.
