By Cynthia Flores McAllen, TX. The sound of tropical cumbia comes to life in the heart of the Devozzión group. They carry that rhythm in their blood and from there they connect with the public in each song they perform. Román Pedraza, host of the Revista Expresión program, puts the style and music of the members of Devozzión at the audience's disposal on digital platforms: Facebook and YouTube. Benito Serna puts feeling into each song he sings and in the chords of his guitar. Álvaro Villafranca enjoys connecting with people by playing the keyboard and singing. Emiliano Soto makes the accordion vibrate. Francisco projects the sound that gives body to the group's style from his electric bass. Víctor Álvarez transmits joy with the rhythm of his drums, defining the style of Devozzión. Juan Serna is responsible for the group's schedule and logistics. Revista Expresión's live broadcast takes place every Wednesday from Poncho's México Nuevo Restaurant at 601 W. Expressway 83 in McAllen, Texas. At each live broadcast, people come to celebrate their birthdays, anniversaries, or simply get together with friends to recharge their batteries mid-week, enjoying good music from excellent bands and the delicious menu at Poncho's México Nuevo Restaurant.
