Matvey Grachev contacts the detectives. Over the past year, all of his friends have died under various circumstances: Anton, Vasily, Fyodor, and Gennady. Matvey has recently noticed that he is being followed and asks them to find out what is going on. Matvey believes that no one would wish him death: he is a simple manager, living with his disabled grandmother, Suzanne Evgenyevna, and his nurse, Lena. The detectives find out the circumstances of the deaths of Matvey's friends. Anton committed suicide because of a breakup with his girlfriend. Vasily was the victim of a fishing accident. Fyodor was waylaid on his way home from a nightclub, stabbed to death, and robbed. Gennady died while diving in Thailand. Since all information about the death was obtained from eyewitnesses, the detectives decide to make inquiries about him at the local registry office. Meanwhile, Matvey is indeed being followed by some man. Matvey notices the surveillance and runs back home. And the detectives track down the mysterious observer. Having compared the data received from the registry office, the detectives come to the conclusion that Gennady staged his death, but in fact he is alive and for some reason is watching Matvey. In a conversation with the detectives, Gennady confirms: yes, he preferred to be considered dead because he was afraid that someone who dealt with his friends would come for him. The detectives find out that the five guys were photographed only once, at Gennady's dacha. Although that dacha has long been sold, the detectives go to the dacha village to get any possible information. And they find out that Roman Rykov, the son of a local watchman, who is currently serving a sentence for rape and murder, was friends with the group. It was he who took that very photo. Matvey and Gennady are asked how they remember the day the photo was taken. Gennady also invited a group of girls, neighbors from the dachas. The girls stayed with the guys until the evening, and then left, but Lena Dubova, who had had a lot to drink, refused to leave. She fell asleep and the guys carried her to a separate bedroom. Roman found her there. He raped her and left. When Lena woke up, she decided that there had been a gang rape. A sick child was born, then Lena's mother fell ill with a stroke. Having buried the child and the mother, Lena takes revenge on her offenders. The detectives manage to expose Lena and save Matvey. #detectives #detectives series
