Ginan Town has the highest population growth rate of any city or town in Gifu Prefecture. There were plans for a new station on the JR Tokaido Line, but these were effectively cancelled. There is also the private Meitetsu Nagoya Main Line, but it only has small stations where only local trains stop. In terms of the road network, there are the Mei-Gi Road and the Gifu-Dai Bypass, both of which are currently under construction. They are positioned as regional expressways, the Mei-Gi Road and the Southern Gifu Crossing Highway. However, they are struggling with the issue of continuous grade separation.
