Justin is a social worker and has looked after homeless people in a private emergency shelter. But the facility was sold, he lost his job and his apartment. Now he combs through the overpriced housing market every day. But the few offers are usually unaffordable or unreasonable. Even individual rooms or even individual beds are rented out at fantasy prices. Conor is currently writing his doctorate and lives with his girlfriend in an apartment the size of a shoebox. The housing shortage has turned him into a political activist, and he is campaigning for change. He is running for city council and drawing attention to the grievances. He is collecting signatures in particular against empty apartments and for more affordable housing.
