Delphi, or Delphi, is an ancient city in Greece located on the slope of Mount Parnassus. This city is deeply connected to Greek mythology. Zeus, who defeated his father Cronus and became the master of the world, placed the stone Omphalos, which was swallowed by him, in the center of the world, that is, the navel of the world, in Delphi. In addition, Apollo, who was born between Zeus and Leto, killed the monster Python that guarded this place and built his own temple, and to commemorate this, he held the Pythian Games, one of the pan-Hellenic festivals, in 582 BC. The oracle of the Apollo temple was rumored to be so powerful that people from Greece and neighboring countries came to seek the oracle, and it became a place where many people gathered to exchange information. While the nobles and royalty waited for their turn to consult the oracle, facilities such as markets, theaters, and stadiums were built for them, and the Pythian Games were also held to provide entertainment. Delphi was an ancient Greek city that enjoyed its heyday from the 6th century BC to the 4th century BC.
