Klim Zhukov and Kristina Egorova analyze Quentin Tarantino's Inglourious Basterds (2009). At the beginning of World War II, SS officer Hans Landa, nicknamed the "Jew Hunter," finds the Jewish Dreyfus family hiding in the French countryside. Of all the family, only the eldest daughter, Shoshanna, miraculously survives. Several years pass, and the Americans send a group of Jewish soldiers to France under the command of Lieutenant Aldo Raine. Their combat mission is to terrorize the enemy by brutally killing German soldiers and officers. Shoshanna doesn't stay on the sidelines either: being the owner of a small cinema in occupied France, she decides to set fire to the cinema hall during the premiere of the film, which was supposed to be attended by the entire Nazi elite.
