In this video I will clearly destroy the myth about 100% oil change in the variator, I will show and explain why it is impossible in principle with the procedures that are sold on the service market under the guise of 100% oil change in the variator. It's all about the design of the variator, as always. There are cavities in the variator where oil remains even when the engine is running or the oil change device is connected. These volumes are in the pistons of the cones and a couple of other places (I will disassemble and show), and in order to get the oil from there (change it), the cones must either close or open, or the hydraulic line must work, i.e. the working stroke of the cone and the pump must be completed. And the working stroke of the cone occurs only when the car is moving, or more precisely during acceleration, and the gear ratio of the cone pair is changed, and only then, all the oil that has accumulated in the cone(s) will come out and be replaced. And what do we have, pure marketing when they claim that this or that oil change will change the entire volume, all 100%. As you will see, it is far from 100%, not even close to 100%, all this is MARKETING about 100% oil change!!! How can I show this? I will simply completely disassemble the arrived variator, and drain the residual oil from the cones and other places where it remains, i.e. disassemble and drain into a measuring container, and show you this bucket of oil that can never be changed in the variator except by disassembling and assembling the variator. Hence the conclusion, change the oil more often and wisely.
