The year 1996 has gone down in history as one of the years of Mount Everest's death. At that time, a total of 8 people died in one day. In 1996, there were many large expeditions trying to reach the top, the most famous of which were Adventure Consultans piloted by Rob Hall and Mountain Madness led by Scott Fischer. These two large commercial expeditions competed with each other to see who could take the most people to the top of Everest! The summit of Everest had already been prepared for several weeks at that time. 10.5 was the day when Everest was supposed to be conquered. However, things quickly went completely wrong. The balcony and the South peak had to have peat ropes ready. However, for various reasons, the Sherpas had not taken them there. This led to delays and in the end the last of the expedition members was not on the top of Everest until 4 pm. This was far too late, as time had to be reserved for the return journey as well. In the end, darkness and a blizzard surprised the expeditions and an incredible life and death struggle for survival began.
