Subscribe to the channel and find out what's new: http://bit.ly/2fRmKkp --- We are encouragers who strengthen many, but sometimes it's our turn. We need to learn how to deal with the problem, believe in what we preach to others and have the strength to move forward. 1) ELIJAH’S “CRISIS” ➔ Elijah had a personal “crisis”, frustrated expectations - I Kings 19:4 ➔ Characteristics of the crisis: ● Isolation - I Kings 19:3, 9 ● Sense of injustice (I alone am left and they are trying to take my life) - I Kings 19:14 2) GOD’S WAY OF ACTING IN OUR CRISES ➔ God allows us to face crises, because He wants ministers who have compassion on those who face crises (Heb 4:15-16) and not who place on others a burden they do not want to carry - Mt 23:4 ➔ God does not prevent us from entering the crisis and sometimes even “winds us up”. Elijah goes from the desert to the cave and God strengthens him for it - I Kings 19:5-9 ➔ God will only speak to us outside the cave 3) BEING STRENGTHENED IN THE LORD ➔ There are times of pain and crying, and we have the right to cry (John 11:35), but we need to know when to stop crying - I Samuel 30:4,6 ➔ Our discouragement involves the fear of seeing everything end, but we need to fight for the promise - I Samuel 30:7-8 ➔ Unlike Elijah, everything went back to normal - I Samuel 30:18-20 The responsibility to strengthen ourselves in the Lord is ours. Who we are will always be more important than what we do for God. --- Actively participate in our ministry: www.orvalho.com/cooperadores
