In this video I show you a deadly opening trap in chess that can win in just 7 moves. It is a variation of the Scotch Gambit (part of the Scottish Game) that arises after the following moves: 1.e4 e5 2.Nf3 Nc6 3.d4 exd4 4.Ng5. The main idea for White is to sacrifice the knight on f7 with Nxf7 and then launch a powerful attack on the black king with Bc4+ and Qg5+, with the goal of achieving a mating pattern similar to the Shepherd's Mate. The best part? This trap works even against advanced players! According to statistics from played games, it is extremely effective up to a rating of 2000 - and even players in the range of up to 2200 ELO fall for it occasionally.
