On this incredible trip, my girl and I ventured on motorbikes through the majestic and challenging Ladakh, a mountain paradise in the Himalayas. From winding roads on the edge of cliffs to crossing icy rivers and dodging rock falls, every kilometer was a mix of adrenaline and wonder. We faced extreme terrain, unpredictable temperatures and constant dangers, but the rewards were immense: surreal views, hidden valleys, and the most beautiful road we have ever seen. Join us on this exciting two-wheeled adventure as we ride through the spectacular landscapes between Sumur and Turtuk, in the heart of the Nubra Valley, India, aboard our Royal Enfield 350 Classic. The route takes us along winding mountain roads, imposing high-altitude deserts and crystal-clear rivers, offering unforgettable views of this magical corner of the Himalayas. The Nubra Valley is a hidden gem of Ladakh, famous for its impressive geographical diversity. From the white sand dunes of Hunder, inhabited by Bactrian camels, to the Shyok and Nubra rivers that meander between snow-capped mountains, this valley combines deserts and oases of greenery in a unique landscape. The area is full of historic Buddhist monasteries, picturesque villages and breathtaking views, with peaks that seem to touch the sky. Together with my girl, we faced the challenges of the road: changing temperatures, difficult terrain and the cold wind from the heights. Each kilometer was a mix of excitement and wonder, discovering the unique culture and hospitality of the local communities in this region close to the border. However, not everything was easy. At the end of the journey, fatigue and the weather took their toll on me, and I ended up sick with a high fever. Despite this, this experience remains unforgettable and taught us how unpredictable and beautiful traveling is.
