About TNT bombs at the door of houses, metal beds for children and one of the most mysterious murders that shocked the entire law enforcement and society of the country at that time - already in this video story. 42 years ago, in July 1980, a very professional criminalist Jurgis Grudzinskas was murdered in the Dzūkija area. His case is still at a dead end, but we managed to find witnesses who are now speaking more openly that his death may not necessarily be related to the Kaunas Doctors' criminal clan, who were starting their careers at that time, but to much more serious matters. So now, for the viewers of my stories - an exclusive story about Alytus, along with the most famous Lithuanian police commissioner Vytautas Grigaravičius and those who were the last to see him alive, the legendary criminalist J. Grudzinskas. I just want to remind you: Police captain J. Grudzinskas, who worked as a senior inspector of the Varėna criminal investigation, was famous as one of the best detectives in all of Soviet Lithuania at that time. After all, the solve rate of the crimes he investigated was almost 100 percent. Jurgis Grudzinskas, 32, who had worked as a criminal investigation inspector for 11 years, was unexpectedly murdered on July 24, 1980. At approximately 5:30 a.m., he left the house of his mother Ona Grudzinskienė, who at that time lived in the village of Gudeliai in the Varėna district, and was shot and thrown into the Nemunas River. Four days later, on July 28, at 5:30 p.m., his corpse with a gunshot wound to the head was found in the Nemunas near Alytus. It is reported that J. Grudzinskas was the first law enforcement officer in Lithuania to officially speak out about the legendary Doctors' Gang that had formed in Kaunas Vilijampolė.
