Dark Academia is a style, or as it is said in English, aesthetic that emerged in the late 2010s on social media, inspired by books mainly by the author Dona Tartt, but also by films such as Dead Poets Society and Verses of a Murder. In decoration, the dark academia style is characterized by dark tones, wooden furniture, brick walls and objects that refer to the study and the Victorian style, such as book pages, pens, magnifying glasses, dark-toned flowers, etc. The dark academia aesthetic is now in fashion and calls for clothes in dark, earthy tones, in looks that are reminiscent of universities in the 1940s.
