I bought the Mega Drive Mini. So I'm playing the Mega Drive Mini version of Darius. I cleared the upper whaling route, which was my favorite route in the first game, without making any mistakes. The difficulty of the latter half of ZONE A and the middle of ZONE P is horrible due to the single screen. I also made a small mistake with Dryotherm and my arm was torn off... I won't tell you that I was a little shaken up because in the arcade version, the arm itself doesn't get cut off even if the boss and arm touch each other (eh?) I'm personally happy that the number of items is the same as in the arcade version, and that attacks that were instant death on a direct hit (such as My Home Daddy's electric laser) can now be tolerated in the PCE version... It was originally a fan-made work, but it's amazing how well it turned out for a personal production. Sega/M2/Taito worked to polish it up and make it official, so it's a dream story.
