One of the greatest voices in the history of Czech popular music, Dan Bárta is without a doubt, first entered the consciousness of fans as the frontman of the rock band Alice. Although it did not exist for long, it returned to the stage a few years ago and now fans will be able to see it at the upcoming Metronome festival. Bárta has also been in several musicals, especially Jesus Christ Superstar and Evita, was a member of the band Die El. Elefant and has also been an integral part of the band JAR since the mid-nineties. He then met Roman Holý in the Sexy Dancers project and entered the new millennium as the leader of the band Illustratosphere. And with all this, he still managed to make a name for himself as the interpreter of the hit On My Head from the film Snowboarders and also cut an album of covers last year, on which he is accompanied by the Gustav Brom Orchestra. All of this was discussed in the next edition of On Air, where Dan revealed, among other things, that he would like to get rid of his characteristic "waving" of his hands, which he uses to help with intonation when singing. When did he start thinking about being a singer? How does he remember his musical days? And why does he care if his songs are played on the radio? Watch the full interview. ON AIR is a talk show by music journalist Pavel Kučera with musicians and people from the music industry. A new episode is published every week on the YouTube channel kytary.cz.
