What is the function of this accessory and does it really make a difference when playing? Of course, opinions are always personal and you can test it to draw your own conclusions. This one of mine is from the ibox brand and we'll go step by step... In a recording, where we're not going to use open strings, with a drive or distortion, it makes a lot of sense to use it to remove unwanted noises from strings hitting each other or even harmonics that may sound. Some guitars end up presenting these harmonics before the nut as well, which can be annoying, so another way to use it is before the nut so that it eliminates this vibration of the string between the tuning peg and the nut. I personally don't use it this way here because in many Anime Songs we use a picking technique in this region to cause intentional noises. Check out the guitar cover of the part I showed in the video: • Scandal - MASTERPIECE - ギターで弾いてみた - S... I personally didn't find it necessary to use it on the guitar. So it really does make a difference for drives and distortions, especially in recording situations. The product has a relatively low price, in the range of R$40 to R$60, which allows most musicians to have one of these in their bag and in their kit.
