Hi, how are you? My name is Wagner Barbosa, I have been a musician, singer, composer, producer/vocal director and singing teacher for over 15 years. I have worked with names such as Gilberto Gil, Gal Costa, Carlinhos Brown, Vanessa Moreno, Criolo and many other great names in music. My story with music started early, at 9 I was already studying guitar. As for singing… (yikes!) Sit down because here comes a story! I spent a lot of my life hearing that “singing is for those who have the gift” but I refused to fall for that talk and give up on my dream. I also went through huge difficulties with my own voice and thought about giving up countless times, almost letting myself believe that singing would not be possible for me. After going through several “professionals” who blamed me for not evolving, I set out on the road in search of my “gift” by investing A LOT of time (over 15 years), a lot of money and dedication in research, studies and classes with some of the best professionals in the world. I sought to learn for my voice and also learn how to teach, and having gone through so many difficulties with my own voice, I learned a multitude of paths for the voices I taught. After more than 15 years and thousands of reais invested, I became a certified Teacher by the IVA method (mentor), I was a Teacher and Representative in Latin America of the Speech Level Singing method (2014/Level 2); I am a Postgraduate Specialist in Voice and Coaching from CEV (Center for Voice Studies); I graduated in popular guitar - ULM (EMESP); I am a Postgraduate Specialist in Brazilian Music - FAP - PR and I never stopped studying! I was also a co-producer of the Closing Ceremony of the Rio2016 Olympics and a 5-time teacher at the European Vocal Camp, the largest gathering of singers in Europe; Today I work with producers of the level of Alê Siqueira (3 Grammys, 2 Billboards among other awards) and Kassin (4 Grammys among many other awards).
