Secretory cells are capable of eliminating substances through a sequence of processes involving synthesis, modification and subsequent secretion. Synthesis occurs in the Endoplasmic Reticulum, which can be smooth (agranular or agranulous) specialized in lipid synthesis or rough (granular or granular) which is responsible for the production of proteins destined for export.
