On the first day of my 2-day tour, I head west through the Oberwald over the heights of the Vogelsberg. The section between Ulrichstein and Mücke also offers, despite many forest and gravel paths, very beautiful scenery with hills and valleys as well as charming villages. From Mücke to Homberg/Ohm, I head north. After a detour to the old town of Homberg, my route leads east, again through charming nature and the foothills of the Vogelsberg.
