I'm showing you the modifications I made to one of my Stratocasters. Changing the pickguard, pickup covers, knobs and selector tip. Purely aesthetic customization! Forgive the frivolity, but I loved the result! 0:00 - thinking about modifying my Stratocaster 0:40 - what modifications? 0:55 - I've never done this before 1:09 - brief comment on the tuning pegs and beginning of the process 1:58 - removing the knobs (a trick) 3:13 - the new knobs and pickup covers 3:59 - showing the new pickguard and removing the old one 4:56 - the pickups and an organization tip 5:39 - removing the pickups 5:52 - removing the pickup selector switch and potentiometers (without the right switch) 6:47 - removing the pickguard 7:05 - swapping the pickup covers and mounting them to the pickguard 7:57 - replacing the potentiometers and selector switch and aligning the knobs 9:11 - putting the pickguard back in place 9:31 - one problem - the pickguard doesn't fit 9:50 - two options: sand it or go back to the old pickguard 10:12 - problem solved, although not perfectly! 10:45 - trying to show the result, but failing! 10:53 - I decided to take a step back 11:19 - the guitar looks like this! 11:43 - the white color changes the tone of the pickups 11:55 - PLAYING - evidence of the influence of color on tone! - :D ➤ About me: Guitarist, acoustic guitarist, composer and teacher, Pedro Bernardi holds a bachelor's degree in music from the School of Music and Performing Arts at the Federal University of Goiás and a master's degree in Contemporary Music from the same institution.
