A motley group hikes a little-known route from Königssee near Berchtesgaden to the Dolomites, where the famous Three Peaks tower into the sky. The hikers are on the trail for seven days. They spend the night in rustic mountain huts and cross several mountain ranges: the Steinenes Meer in the Berchtesgaden Alps, the Pfandlscharte in front of the Grossglockner, through the remote Defreggen Mountains and finally into the Dolomites. Between the alpine highlights, a shuttle bus takes them to the respective starting points.
