They made Swiss criminal history. On September 1, 1997, five young men disguised as Telecom employees drove into the courtyard of the Fraumünsterpost in Zurich and stole over 50 million francs. In addition, they had informed too many accomplices. They revealed juicy details shortly after the crime. The robbers splurged and boasted on the millions they had stolen while on the run. Within a month, four of the five perpetrators and almost half of the loot were confiscated. The perpetrators have long since served their sentences. The case is legally closed. But more than half of the loot is still missing today; 27 million francs have simply disappeared. The post office was not insured against robberies, and the missing millions had to be written off as a loss. The film revisits the spectacular case and shows that the missing money still hangs like a curse over the men who were involved in the crime.
