So far, we have lived in the belief that creativity and abstract thinking are the domain of humans. More and more paintings, scripts or novels created by AI are starting to undermine this thesis. And although some fear that artificial intelligence will become our rival, new technologies may turn out to be allies, developing our creative reserves. It is therefore worth finding out what creativity actually is and what its role in our lives is. How do psychologists define creativity and creativity? Do new technologies deepen or reduce our creativity? What will creativity look like in the future? These and many other questions are answered by Dr. Konrad Maj - Social psychologist, initiator and head of the Center for Social and Technological Innovation (HumanTech). The interview is led by Dr. Maksymilian Bielecki - psychologist, neurocognitive scientist and assistant professor at the Institute of Psychology at SWPS University. Dr. Konrad Maj - Social psychologist, project manager of HumanTech Meetings 1 and HumanTech Meetings 2, initiator and head of the Center for Social and Technological Innovation (HumanTech), which analyzes the latest social and technological trends, prepares expert opinions based on research results and implementations of innovations, and also implements projects in cooperation with business in the field of commercialization of knowledge. In his scientific and didactic work, Dr. Maj focuses on issues related to social influence, media psychology and innovation. He currently conducts research in the area of ​​HRI (Human-Robot Interaction). In the years 2013-2016 he was the proxy of the vice-rector for science in the field of commercialization of scientific research results and social innovations. He has made a number of study visits to innovation centers, including: ISI – Institute for Social Innovation (Carnegie Mellon University, Pittsburgh, USA), ID+ Research Institute for Design, Media and Culture (University of Averio, Portugal), Design Factory (Aalto University, Finland). At SWPS University, he teaches social psychology, psychology of social influence and social innovation. He is a trainer of media appearances, self-presentation, negotiations and communication for companies and institutions. Dr. Maksymilian Bielecki - psychologist, neurocognitive scientist, assistant professor at the Institute of Psychology at SWPS University. His research interests include primarily cognitive psychology as well as methodology, psychometrics and statistics. He collaborates with many scientific institutions, including the Medical University of Warsaw, the Nencki Institute of Experimental Biology and the Copernicus Science Centre. He is one of the founders of the HumanTech SWPS Social Innovation Center. As part of the center's work, it uses psychological knowledge to create and improve products, processes and services. In parallel with his scientific activity, he has been involved in business projects for over a dozen years, as a leader of R&D projects and a consultant in statistics and behavioral economics.
