Creating a template for orchestral compositions is easy, although it can be a bit time-consuming at first, but it later speeds up our composition and orchestration process considerably when working with the DAW we use, in my case Cubase. Having a clear understanding of some basic concepts about panning, routing the output signal of the instrument to its group, applying effects in parallel and so on should be something we can have pre-configured in our orchestral template so we don't have to think too much while we are composing and not interrupt our workflow.
