Mario Javier Sabán was born in Buenos Aires to a Sephardic family, descendants of Jews expelled from Spain in 1492. He has specialized in the practical application of Kabbalah: Kabbalah applied to psychology, and to the personal and spiritual development of the human being. He holds a PhD in Philosophy (Complutense University of Madrid, 2008), Anthropology (Ramon i Virgili University of Tarragona, 2012), Psychology (Ramon Llull University, 2015), History (University of Lleida, 2016), Theology (University of Murcia, 2018) and Applied Mathematics (University of Alicante, 2018). His six doctorates reflect a life devoted to study and research. He has published 27 books (as of June 2024), 15 of them dedicated to his research on Kabbalah. He has been a professor at several universities: Rey Juan Carlos University of Madrid, Carlos III University, University of Lleida, Rovira i Virgili University of Tarragona, National University of Distance Education (UNED) and the Hebrew University of Mexico.
