The Commander-in-Chief of the new Syrian administration, Ahmad al-Sharaa, held talks at the People's Palace in the capital Damascus with the Foreign Ministers of France, Jean-Noël Barrot, and Germany, Annalena Baerbock. The French Foreign Minister affirmed his country's support for the aspirations of the Syrian people regarding a peaceful political transition; he said that he would offer the new administration assistance in drafting the new constitution. For her part, the German Foreign Minister called for the involvement of all sects in the reconstruction process in Syria; she considered that there is a need for reliable security guarantees for the Kurds in the country. She also called for the participation of everyone in the process of drafting the constitution and in forming the next government in Syria.
