The 400m² beach house on Praia da Baleia, in São Paulo, designed by the TWO Arquitetura firm (@2twoarquitetura) is designed as a country house on the beach. It is built around nature, preserving original elements and providing a unique experience at any time of year. According to the firm, the idea was to ask the forest for permission to own that place that is its own. The house is not the ultimate goal, but rather the experience of being in contact with nature and everything it has to offer. The original design had the logic of setting the house away from the forest, leaving the entire social area on the opposite side. However, when walking around and observing the beauty of nature, the firm reversed the logic: the house was built around nature. Bedrooms, living rooms, bathrooms, and the leisure area were relocated so that it would be possible to have a view of the forest, hear its sounds, feel its humidity, and live with its animals.
