From June 26, 2023, the N-SSI department of ASTRA will offer online training on topics related to reinforced concrete every 3 months. These are aimed at specialists in the PM and EP departments of the infrastructure branches, EP and technical support at headquarters. If required, commissioned building owner support staff from PM can also be invited. The online events are prepared by ETH Zurich under the direction of Dr. Ueli Angst. From summer 2023 to spring 2024, the following topics will be presented in a first series: Corrosion of steel in concrete Refresher & Update (this video) Corrosion-relevant variables in condition assessment Measurement methods and interpretation Corrosion-resistant reinforcement - opportunities, risks, applications Cathodic corrosion protection Function, advantages and disadvantages, applications The modules will take place as webinars with the following structure: - Welcome, introduction - Presentation (40 minutes) - Answering questions, discussion (15-20 minutes) - Preview of the next webinars The webinars will be recorded separately and made available as a video on 2.
