Cooking boxes - according to advertising promises from companies like HelloFresh and Dinnerly, they are supposed to make our everyday lives easier and bring variety to our menus. The tedious search for suitable recipes is over! And even better: no more tedious lugging around supermarket purchases, because all the necessary ingredients are delivered in the cooking box directly to your own door. And the deliverable subscription of recipes and ingredients is supposed to be sustainable too? Is all of this really true and how good are the offers from HelloFresh and Dinnerly really? PULS reporter Ariane Alter, together with nutrition expert Daniela Krehl from the Bavarian Consumer Center, takes a closer look at the cooking boxes and tests the hyped cooking boxes in terms of quality, price, sustainability and, of course, taste. The cooking boxes from HelloFresh and Dinnerly are being tested, by the way. She gets further support from PULS reporter Nadine Hadad, who tries to recreate the recipes using supermarket products.
