The Mediterranean island nation of Cyprus is officially a member of the European Union. But still there are many kinds of complications for migrants from Bangladesh. Without knowing them, many people fall into the trap of brokers and fraudsters. Technically, the Cypriot government has very little or no control over that northern part of the island. Even the facilities that come with the EU membership remain suspended there. There is even an unofficial border that divides the entire island where UN peacekeeping forces patrol to prevent unauthorized crossing. Unaware of that, many people step into the traps of brokers and traffickers.
