Leon Weintraub, survivor of the Shoah and founder of our archive, is a contemporary witness who campaigns against forgetting by giving lectures in schools and memorial sites. For his memoirs "Reconciliation with Evil. History of a Continued Life", Leon Weintraub told journalist Magda Jaros about his childhood and the post-war period, his studies of medicine in Göttingen, his career in Poland and his emigration to Sweden due to the anti-Semitic March riots of 1968. The conversation with Leon Weintraub and Magda Jaros was conducted by editor Jan Philipp Bothe on October 27, 2022 at the Jewish Museum Berlin.
