Business administrator Vitor Torres and computer scientist Fábio Bacarin opened their own accounting firm in 2014. But this firm was anything but traditional: the service was entirely online, and a good portion of the accountant's activities were automated. The idea eventually became the startup Contabilizei - and it really came to fruition. Today, Contabilizei serves more than 30,000 entrepreneurs. It has also raised more than R$500 million from major investors, such as the World Bank, Goldman Sachs, and telecommunications conglomerate SoftBank. Torres talks about Contabilizei's difficult beginnings, growth, and next steps in episode 127 of the podcast From Zero to the Top.
