In two days, the Meikermis will start in the city centre. Construction is now in full swing. This year, it will be accompanied by some challenges. Due to the new Grote Markt, the fair will have a slightly different layout at this location. As in previous years, there will be various stalls on the west side. The Disco Jumper XXL from operator Gilbert de Poorter will be on the south side. This year, Spookhuis Thriller will be located against the ABN Amro office, which was on the south side in previous editions. The Future Dance has also been given a spot on the Grote Markt. This year, the Vismarkt will feature attractions such as the Ferris wheel, the Dragon Children's Roller Coaster, a bumper car and Projekt 1. The latter attraction has a swing arm with gondolas attached to it, whereby the arm swings up to 120 degrees from left to right with a maximum height of 22 metres. Nostalgic attractions such as a swing carousel, caterpillar track and boat carousel can be found on the Ossenmarkt. The fair will open its doors next Thursday afternoon. The funfair will start again on May 20. Photo: Rieks Oijnhausen Photo: Rieks Oijnhausen Photo: Wouter Holsappel
