On August 19, 2014, the construction of the new air rescue station in Angermünde was launched: Together with Steffen Lutz, CEO of DRF Air Rescue, and other guests of honor, Brandenburg's then Minister of Health Anita Tack performed the symbolic groundbreaking ceremony for the new air rescue station. Since August 1, 2015, an EC 135 helicopter has been in use every day from 7:00 a.m. until sunset. Operations began in a state-of-the-art helicopter station with a hangar, offices, functional rooms and social rooms.
