In this application, we are painting the parts on the chest plate. Since these parts are plastidip painted, it is clearly seen that these paints are damaged as a result of the user applying dashboard polishing milk. In all paint applications, the air temperature should be at least 20 degrees and open air should be preferred. Materials to be used in the application 1- Acrylic Thinner 2- Plastic primer 3- Body color paint 4- Acrylic matt varnish hardener 5- 600 and 2000 grit water sandpaper 6- Painter's felt 7- Masking tape In this work of our vehicle, we will apply the 1st layer primer, 2nd layer acrylic paint and 3rd layer matt varnish in order. We recommend waiting in water for 2 hours before starting to apply water sandpaper. We sand the surfaces using 400 grit water sandpaper. We matte the plastic surfaces with painter's felt so that the primer can adhere better. Sanding is the preliminary preparation for the painting process. The old paint must be completely removed from the surface with sandpaper. The surfaces other than the application should be covered with tape. At the end of the sanding and felting process, we wash the parts and clean the surfaces to be applied with surface cleaning thinner. We apply the plastic primer from a distance of 20 cm to the surface and wait for it to dry for 20 minutes. Plastic Primer is used to ensure that the paint adheres better to the surface, is durable and does not peel easily, and does not spoil the color if there is paint underneath. After applying the primer, we reapply our acrylic paint with the same method and wait for it to dry for about 20 minutes. Acrylic-based paints dry faster and are more durable than synthetic-based paints. That is why we prefer acrylic-based paint. As the last process, we apply our varnish with the same method and finish our process. If a 1 in 4 ratio of Hardener is mixed into the varnish, it will ensure that it dries faster and is more durable.
