The Nebrová National Nature Reserve in the White Carpathians, also declared a territory of European importance, is an example of typical White Carpathian meadows. Thanks to the centuries-old coexistence of man and nature, a large number of rare organisms have found refuge here. These are mainly plants from the orchid family (orchids) and dozens of rare species of butterflies and other invertebrates. In order to maintain the biodiversity of meadows, active care of such areas is essential. That is why a summer labor protection camp has been held on Nebrová every year for over 20 years. Volunteers from all over Slovakia (and sometimes from abroad) mow the meadows in a mosaic style and rake hay. Without the selfless help of these people, the territory would be overgrown with invasive plants and rare species would be irretrievably lost. You will soon learn more interesting things in the forthcoming film Biele Karpaty - Kingdom guarded by Vršatc ( / bielekarpaty ) Camera and editing: Jakub Cíbik (www.jc-photo.eu) You can read more information about the territory here: http://www.sopsr. sk/natura/doc/inf_br...
